My super awesome boyfriend Lawrie bought me a book for my birthday...not just any book may I add...a super awesome book (following the theme)

I couldn't find a decent photo of the actual book, but here is the other one Paul Arden has created.

They are kind of non conventional inspirational book for thinkers ! I read them at my shows so if you catch me reading one ask to take a peak, so interesting.

Sneak Peak

The show, although rainy is going well, lots of fun exhibitors + customers ! Day 2 today so please do come along ! lots to look at ...I definitely advise coming with an empty stomach too as the food here (especially the baklava) is delicious.

Day 1 Show + Birthday Time !

So the show is up ! If you cant make it along to see me dont panic ! - I will be at show near you soon ! Rain is scheduled but fingers crossed everyone owns wellington boots !

Its also my birthday, grand old age of 23 !!

Lovely Lavender

There is some really rather lovely lavenders out at the moment, such a rich purple I wish that it mixed into a vibrant watercolour I could use fresh on my paintings !

Ravishing Ranunculus

Firstly these flowers must be THE most beautiful of all flowers, they are more relaxed than roses, their colours are softer, and above all their latin name translates as 'little frog'. How utterly wonderful !
However....all renunculus are poisonous when eaten fresh by cattle, horses and other livestock, but their acrid taste and the blistering of the mouth caused by their poison means they are usually left uneaten, always a happy ending to an otherwise frightful story ! Bit of a fact of the day ! Come and see Renunculus @ Secretts Craft & Design Festival 17th-19th June !

Ela Zubrowska is an artist who I stumbled upon whilst looking for water images, its rained an awful lot again today, but its been rather beautiful to be quite honest. Check out her new project Water to Water - the results are stunning.
Having nearly finished painting the boards for the show, I am feeling both relieved & excited about it being less than a week till showdown !

Aye Aye Cap'n

Thought I would indulge you in my favourite letterpress company ! Arent you lucky hey ! They are such a find, they make all sorts of things, notebooks, greetings cards & stationary sets.
Both Theo Wang & Tom Boulton are eccentrics with moustaches & bowties, they really fit the brand image of SORT & were a pleasure to work with. Their work explores both modern uses of letterpress & more conventional traditional uses ie wedding invites, menus & thank you cards. I will keep them on my list of great designers to know !

Pitter Patter

Ooops...after a few conundrums with the website we are back up and running - phew.
It is now 1 whole week until showtime...and its pretty exciting here, the bunting, lavender, business cards, pictures are done, its just the boards to paint now, by the looks of outside its going to be challenging.
Fingers crossed for windy weather to dry them !
